Aeration systems account for are a large proportion of the construction and operational costs at water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs). As a result, it is important to optimize their design and operation. This learning module presents full-scale
modeling and operational experience for new aeration system implementation. At the conclusion of this learning module, participants will be able to
- discuss magnetic bearing turbo blowers;
- determine the required operating window for new blowers;
- describe a new blower control strategy;
- compare control valves; and
-
explain a new cleaning technique for fine-pore diffusers.
This WEFTEC Curated Learning Module can also be purchased as a part of the Aeration Design and Optimization WEFTEC Curated Short Course.
